There’s always something brewing in the creative cranium of Collective Minds, be it the booking of renowned acts for our shores or the assembly of their multi-faceted event space, 222 Arts Club. The latter, which launched earlier this year, now sees a reboot in light of the drought brought on by COVID-19, evolving into 222 Arts Club 2.0 to usher in an even bigger world of possibilities.

With Ebenex on board, turning ideas into reality with their expertise on audio-visual equipment, 222 Arts Club 2.0 reveals more tricks in the bag while remaining at its city-centred Queen Street address. The shift sees the mouldable venue transforming into a “3-in-1 mixed reality content production studio”, providing a space for brands, artistes and programmes to expand on their storytelling capabilities.

The refurbished habitat sees the introduction of three distinctive spaces: The Cube which is one of the largest LED cubes in Singapore for commercial potential, The Studio for variety events and live-streams of music performances or DJ sets, and The Zone which offers more creative avenues with its green screen space.

In an official press release, Zaran Vachha, co-founder of 222 Arts Club and Collective Minds, shares, “Times are changing and we need to pivot. In an increasingly virtual world, we have transformed the space into a full-service production studio with state-of-the-art technology to service your audio-visual needs”.

The original version of the 5,000-square foot space was revealed just weeks before the brunt of the COVID-19 crisis, putting a stop to events altogether and the scene from witnessing the full potential of 222 Arts Club. This full-steam reboot gives the space its second wind, allowing more patrons and audiences to see what this astonishing venue is capable of, while providing it more pathways for creative expression and financial stability – a hardy move of adaptability in these problematic times.
