If you’re one of those who kept your ear on the grapevine as you nightcrawled through the metropolis searching for ninja shindigs, you might’ve heard of the Through The Backdoor event series. Guarded amongst clued-in scenesters as a seasonal clandestine fiesta that kept its deets on the down-low, Through The Backdoor crept through the circuit with its ringleader, Erin Khan, calling the shots. Now, she’s coming out of the shade to deliver her take on the 15-Min Flash Mix, and you don’t need a secret invite to hear it.

Aside from steering the movements of this underground house and techno series, Erin Khan is an avid selector who’s cut her teeth at local spots like Cato and Canvas, and at gigs organised by fellow collectives, .KORSAIR and Manifest. She regards acts such as Jan Blomqvist, Dubspeeka and Dixon as her influences, and likes to incorporate melodic, deep and techy elements into her sets.

In the span of about 15 minutes, Erin Khan takes you on a nocturnal detour of shadows and moonlight, evoking the haze and passion that seep into the mood of a good ol’ party night. Both mellow and upbeat, this is a tracklist textured with cosy chordwork, cosmic hooks and amorous vocals, providing a momentary escape that’s rooted in the art of groove.
