One thing I hoped to accomplish with the 15-Min Flash Mix was to encourage local DJs and producers to try something irregular, and in turn, for listeners to view their musicality in a different light. It thrills me to reveal that The Analog Girl has wonderfully delivered in this respect, flinging over a juxtaposition that might just trip you up.

When one often thinks of The Analog Girl, imagery of ethereal, synthy mystery swims to the imagination, lurking with an air of pensive dreaminess. It’s a legacy that dates back to her debut album released in 2005, and today, she continues to be a commendable force in the electronic scene that she helped pave.

With her 15-Min Flash Mix contribution, she shatters the expectation by showcasing a range of personal influences that frolic on opposing ends of the spectrum. She’s selected a series of chipper earworms and frisky anthems that show a more sunny disposition. Here, you’ll encounter the throwback psychedelia of Tame Impala, the disco inferno of Bee Gees, a poppy remix from The Blessed Madonna and plenty others. This is possibly a side of The Analog Girl you’ve yet to meet.

I don’t wish to spoil the surprises any further. So just toss out whatever you might think of The Analog Girl for 15 minutes, and enjoy this head-spinning voyage.
