Singer-Songwriter Squad: Krysta Joy, YAØ & Xena Giam Embark On A Regional 'STATIONS' Tour

These Singaporean singer-songwriters are leaving the pond to represent our tiny city. Despite their resounding success on home soil, musicians tend to be limited by the relatively miniscule size of local audiences and need to break into regional markets to boost their exposure. But in the case of these three disparate yet destined acts, they’ve decided to embark on a collective tour to showcase their chops as one power-packed squad.

Their paths intertwined on the STATIONS Tour, the trio of self-made musicians include YAØ who blends treacly indie-pop with buttery tones of Japanese city pop, Xena Giam whose versatility spans lo-fi bedroom pop and pop-rock proclamations, and scene multi-dabbler Krysta Joy (also the founder of creative space, Saylah Studios) whose compositions delve more into introspective folk and r&b. The STATIONS Tour signifies how the journeys of each singer-songwriter stop at pivotal ‘stations’ in life, and they’ll be sharing their song-shelled stories while exploring themes of joy, resilience and self-discovery.

But before the trio head off on their first international stop in Japan in the first week of November, they’ll be showing gratitude to their local fans with a STATIONS Singapore Show on 19 October at Esplanade Annexe Studio. Give them some love before they make our scene proud beyond borders.
