There’s a new shimmering star illuminating the skyline of Singapore, and its name is NOVA. Crowning the summit of HighHouse which launched in the tail end of 2023 is its new sister establishment, which also now happens to be the tallest rooftop bar in the city at level 63. NOVA was first teased by OUE Restaurants – which also operates apex F&B institutions like Osteria Mozza and Shisen Hanten – and it’s now finally spreading its wings at the start of F1 season.

The Astra star structure was designed by artist Jun Ong

Much like HighHouse, the musical programming at NOVA is a refined balance between mass-minded crowd-pleasers and mood-carving left-field selections. While the entertainment bookings do encompass modern open format and ’90s throwbacks, you’ll spot selectors spinning Afrobeat and house – even on a Monday. And raising the bar even higher, NOVA has unveiled the possibility of big-time international bookings, such as Stephan Bodzin and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano slated for the F1 festivities.

As for the space itself, NOVA makes full use of its open-air layout to accommodate all sorts of guests from the scenery-seekers to the bottle-guzzlers. The venue directs attention to its own North Star, a star-shaped centrepiece sculpture called Astra that radiates its own luminescence as the night progresses. And if that’s not enough of a convo-starter for visitors, there’s also the varied food menu spanning grilled Spanish octopus, Argentinian bone-in-ribeye steak bites, and Indonesian-style noodles if you want comfort food with a twist. NOVA has landed, and it’s bound to put a twinkle in your eye.
