Ready… get set… wait. Not sure which F1 party to race towards? Since the pandemic got booted out, the overwhelming revival of parties in Singapore can indeed bring your night-planning to a halt; a happy problem to have. While the F1 circuit has its stuffed schedule of off-track entertainment, there are reliably lots of other pre- and post-F1 parties popping up around the city, spanning underground shindigs and big-time spectaculars. Mandala Weekender at Sands Expo & Convention Centre feat. Kelis, Armand Van Helden, Rudimental & more
From its cosy Bukit Pasoh shophouse to the massive halls of Sands Expo & Convention Centre, the Mandala Club legacy is certainly growing exponentially. Mandala Weekender is the private members club’s contribution to the F1 buzz; a three-day main-eventer with international and homegrown names from the domains of house, hip-hop, pop and drum & bass. Headliners include Kelis and Rae Sremmurd on Friday, The Ritual (Anané and Louie Vega) and Armand Van Helden on Saturday, and Rudimental and Basement Jaxx on Sunday. All tickets even include live qualifying screenings within the venue itself, so you always get a VIP view of the races.

The Garage at Zouk feat. Jeffrey Sutorius
Expect this behemoth of the scene to barge through the F1 celebrations. In true, high-octane Zouk fashion, the superclub presents The Garage, a weekend revelry that’s aiming for pole position. Steering this celebration on Friday is Singaporean hot-rod, WUKONG, who’s known for mashing EDM with Oriental influences. And on Saturday, former Dash Berlin frontman, Jeffrey Sutorius, lays the tarmac with trance heavy-hitters. Zouk wraps it up with a combo of its residents, Ghetto and Che’Molly, at Capital.

Cyber Rally: Race Week at CÉ LA VI feat. Danny Tenaglia
A bona fide house legend is finally returning to our city. How legendary? Just think marathon sets that chug past sunrise. That’s the who-needs-sleep modus operandi of the venerated Danny Tenaglia, who helms the decks of CÉ LA VI for an extended set till 8am. His performance on 1 October is the cherry on top of the establishment’s F1 merriments, dubbed Cyber Rally: Race Week. If you understand the roots of house music, you know that this gig is not one to be missed.

Pit Stop Friday & Lightning Speed Saturday at Marquee feat. Steve Aoki & Afrojack
You didn’t think this other club titan would stay quiet during F1, did you? The extravagant arena of Marquee rev into action with the appearance of not one, but two of the biggest names in the EDM circuit. Its Pit Stop Friday opens the door to the notorious cake-throwing rebel, Steve Aoki, while its Lightning Speed Saturday unleashes the titanic sounds of Afrojack. Another ginormous affair from the big dogs of Marquee.

AFTER 2049 at Marina Bay Sands feat. Carista & DJ Tennis
In case you didn’t know, the crypto industry knows how to throw a party. Friday marks more than the beginning of the F1 festivities, but also the official closing event of TOKEN2049, Asia’s largest Web3 conference. Called AFTER 2049, the pop-up event takes over the rooftop of Marina Bay Sands – spanning the observation deck and CÉ LA VI – and features a lineup of high-profile, left-field selectors. Headlining the jamboree are Carlita who recently aced sets at Cercle and Burning Man, and the experimental DJ Tennis who’s famed for his wide-reaching repertoire. Supporting them are Moojo, Mo-Shi, Milam and Leon from the Calamar Crew in Hong Kong.
