It’s that time of year to scratch that itch for a killer Halloween bash. And after enduring the COVID nightmare that plagued us for two years, this reawakening of freaky fiestas is exactly the kind of jolt we need. Midnight Shift Halloween Special at Haw Par Villa

Can you think of a Halloween party habitat more appropriate than Singapore’s own hell on earth? This time, it’s the techno purveyors of Midnight Shift who have booked out the demon-infested territory of Haw Par Villa. Once again, the left-field record label has kept its lineup shrouded in mystery, but it does promise a special international headliner from Rotterdam’s Mord Records. While we won’t spill the secret, all we can tell you is that this main eventer has enough rousing firepower to wake up the dead.

Mysteries in Meatspace by Strange Weather & Mama Magnet

According to this forecast, you can expect a maelstrom from this collaboration between Strange Weather and Mama Magnet. The party promoters team up with the multimedia art consultancy for Mysteries in Meatspace, an abstract evening poised to tackle perceptions of time, space, value and non-materials with a melange of sound-fiddlers and visual-tinkerers. The pop-up club experience pulls off another monstrous bash. Just months after revealing its new mind-blowing digs at ALICE@MEDIAPOLIS (and fresh off a SG-reppin’ showcase at Amsterdam Dance Event), .KRATE is now sharpening its claws to unleash its third edition featuring Bianka Banks from Berlin. Baby Boy invites you to let your freak flag fly this Halloween. The LGBTQ+ party series is transforming the grounds of Hard Rock Cafe into an extravaganza featuring dazzling performances from drag artists and bop-a-long tunage from DJs. Expect some murder on the dancefloor and killer looks set to slay. The freaks are coming out to play.

These sunset sessions are about to take a darker turn. The Ciel Social crew ramps up its fiesta frequency just for Halloween month, taking over Labrador Park with a two-headed, two-stage affair. Comprising the aptly-named Rooftop Stage and Downstairs Stage, this Ciel Social jamboree – a series that also delivers pop-up stores for a festival-like experience – will pack an ensemble of house and techno contenders that will have you howling under the moon.

Can trance exude a more sinister side? The upstarts at Trance4M seem to think so. They’re pushing their #Beyond138 series deeper into the shadows to explore darker and harder edges of the genre. From aggressive tempos to screeching melodies, these gnarly nocturnes won't be what the doctor ordered. It’ll be taking place at Turf Club Road, which if you ask us, is a pretty spooky destination in itself.
