Heineken Brings Back International DJs For Its ‘Smooooth’ Heineken Silver Launch Gig

Something big is brewing with Heineken Singapore yet again. The local scene is well-acquainted with the fact that Heineken is more than just a beer bigwig, but a seasoned culture purveyor responsible for some of the sickest events in the last 20 years. If you’ve ever landed yourself a spot at a Heineken Green Room event, you will concur.

On 15 June, Heineken is pulling out the big guns for another massive pop-up at Pasir Panjang Power Station, disrupting your dreary routine with a fantastic midweek shebang. This spectacular will be the official launch party of Heineken Silver, its latest ‘smooooth’ and easy-to-drink beer brewed for the next generation. Formulated to “elevate and refresh the social occasions of today”, Heineken Silver is making quite an entrance that fits this intrepid claim.

Officially called the Heineken Silver Smooooth Warehouse Party, this event is also giving the scene a jolt of exhilaration with its international DJ lineup; a feat that was considered impossible just months ago. Heineken is exhibiting its mighty influence with a bill that includes era-defining nu-disco captains, Flight Facilities; melodious house maven and Dekmantel darling, Palms Trax; and Watergate resident, Floyd Levine, who’s been pushing the sound of his hometown with his Afro-rooted RISE events and label. Opening the night – this gig runs from 7.30pm to 1am – will be our very own Ice Cream Sundays, with Toppings and Muto Masashi representing the weekend rave crew.

The Heineken Silver Smooooth Warehouse Party hopes to bring down 3,000 revellers to witness the grand debut of Heineken Silver. Aside from the world-class entertainment lineup, it will have fringe activities such as retro arcades and stations where you can, of course, try the new beer for yourself. All this marks the beginning of a months-long campaign that will see several Heineken Silver activities popping up all over the city, so do keep yours eyes peeled and your finger on Heineken’s pulse.
