Fresh Dose: Highh Club Is A New Masses-Inclined Nightspot At A Very Familiar Address

First you had HighHouse, and then you had Higher Ground. Now it looks like there’s another nightlife contender with similarly high prospects. Joining the ranks is a new venue that’s simply called Highh Club, and it’s offering a hedonistic habitat for more commercially-inclined parties. If that’s your jam, hightail it to this fresh-outta-the-oven destination.

Recently opened in mid-March, Highh Club is located at a familiar spot for seasoned patrons of the nightlife industry. Situated next to Pan Pacific Hotel, Highh’s locale is a famed address that’s housed other notorious nightlife brands such as Mink, Bang Bang, and most recently, Luxe. Now taking on the mantle, Highh has stepped in to fill their shoes with a mass-appeasing environment and an entertainment programme that showcases the shapeshifting diversity of mainstream music today.

With themed nights like LSD (Lights. Sounds. Dance) and Serotonin, Highh has teased out a rotational mish-mash of genres from Wednesdays to Saturdays. You have the crowd-friendly genres like noughties throwbacks, hip-hop, dancehall and EDM. And then you have other niche showcases dedicated to hard techno and hard dance, genres evidently blurring the lines between the mainstream and underground. It's a hybrid approach that mirrors the direction of clubs like Zouk and Cherry, so it’s curious to see if Highh catches the attention of the disparate and broader communities of the scene.
