Sunday Social & Pasar Pink Celebrate Love With A Pop-Up Market (And Yes, DJs Are Back)

The hue of pink glows brightly this month of June with Pink Fest. Now on its fourth edition, the month-long festival celebrates the love and inclusivity of Global Pride Month in Singapore, and it’s flying the flag high with several collaborators throughout the city, including some familiar faces in the scene. One of these participants is the good folks of Sunday Social.

Running for the last six years, Sunday Social has drawn affection for its diverse pop-up markets that peddle unique goods from small businesses. Put your explorer’s cap on as you roam through this jungle of wares, and you’ll spot everything from sustainable threads and handcrafted wares to home decor and tchotchkes you never knew you needed. Founded by the power couple of Jade Amar and Zig Zach, Sunday Social has been a phenomenon that’s brought life to venues like The Great Escape, Camp Kilo Charcoal Club, Hotel Jen and Open Farm Community.

Happening next on 11 June, Sunday Social is back as an official partner of Pink Fest. Over 30 merchants are lined up for this themed version of the pop-up marketplace – see the full list of vendors here – at its current habitat, Sing See Soon Floral & Landscape. Other highlights in this plant haven include a cat adoption drive, a food truck, beer from Heineken, a bouncy castle for the young’uns and for the first time since the pandemic, a roster of live DJs. The storied history of dance music, after all, has strong ties with the LGBTQ+ community, so it’s fitting that this event comes alive with the soundtrack of house and disco. The lineup of the daytime fiesta is curated by Zig Zach’s Blackout Agency, featuring Hookstyle, Shigeki, James Selva, Meraki Soul, Joshua P, KFC and Zig Zach himself.
