Tanjong Beach Club Shuts After 14 Years But Promises A Prompt Return In Early 2025
This beach gem is riding off into the sunset after 14 long years of service, albeit for a momentary and well-earned sojourn. Tanjong Beach Club has announced that it’s folding up the deck chairs for a spell, but it’s assured that it’s not leaving hopes of its return buried in the sand. The long-preserved pearl of The Lo & Behold Group threw its last party last month and officially shut its doors on 21 October, but it’s already revealed that it’ll be back in Q1 2025 with a brand new look that’s still a guarded secret.
Tanjong Beach Club has become synonymous with the Singaporean beach club and day party experience with its studded track record on the Sentosa shores. With memorable signature events like Smack My Beach Up and the Full Steam Ahead festival, the seaside locale has always had its finger on the pulse of the electronic scene. It’s pushed the sounds of house, nu-disco and indie dance with momentous international bookings such as Aeroplane, Gigamesh and Pete Herbert. It was a programming that helped cement The Lo & Behold Group as a key player in the party scene, leading to the success of other music-minded establishments like Loof, Overeasy and The Warehouse Hotel.
The tsunami of influence that Tanjong Beach Club brought to the scene has been tremendous. Time will tell what this next wave brings next year.
