In a fast-paced scene filled with a flurry of activity, taking one’s time does have its payoffs. After eight months of testing the waters and incubating, Behind The Green Door is officially greenlit with some new tricks in tow. The nightlife venue has been gradually forging its vision and putting together the pieces since launching in May 2024. And when it comes to partnering with pioneers who shares its vision of fostering culture, this bastion has left its door ajar to good effect.

Now ready to be unveiled to the wider public, Behind The Green Door has announced its collaboration with The Maha Co., the dosa taco concept helmed by homegrown rapper YUNG RAJA. Cooking up hype in the community with its Indian-Mexican fusion comfort food, The Maha Co. aptly complements the cosmopolitan appeal of Behind The Green Door. Uncompromising in its programming with the scene-shaking James Selva at the helm, the establishment boasts a worldly sound spectrum from Balearic, hip-hop and tech house, to its flourishing Friday night specialty of Afro house featuring guest invitations with Boddhi Satva, AWEN and the like. Now you can get that taco and Afro fix all at once.

Joshua Pillai, who runs this tight ship, shares, “As much as BTGD is not over-the-top, we are a premium brand with the highest standards of quality – and we embrace all.”
