News of its arrival began trickling down into the consciousness of the scene in the later part of 2023, perched on the fourth floor of The Great Room at South Bridge Road; co-working space downstairs, leisurely habitat right above.

Mortar & Pestle takes pride in its heart-of-Chinatown whereabouts, surrounded by the classic architecture of shophouses and the modern metropolitan buzz of the city hub. Whether you prefer photosynthesising on the rooftop with a roasted coffee in hand, or basking in the moonlight with a deftly mixed cocktail as your pre-game poison, the alfresco ambience of Mortar & Pestle will have you settling in just fine. Turns out they even have a delectable food menu with offerings like Steak & Eggs, Sausage Ragu pastas and Chili Clams. Sounds like a food coma you can’t avoid if you ask us.

Thanks to its open and breezy configuration, Mortar & Pestle has the freedom to adapt to the preferences of promoters who’ve taken interest in the space.
