Zouk Has Announced ZoukOut 2023, The 20th Edition Of Its Renowned Flagship Festival
The legacy of Zouk has remained illuminated all these years by preserving tradition, and it’s keeping the lights on by continuing its biggest one. The megaclub has just announced ZoukOut 2023, the 20th edition of its flagship festival that kicked off in 2000. While details at this moment are still scant, here’s what we know so far about the renowned event.
For starters, the theme of ZoukOut 2023 is titled The Tribe Of Tomorrow, a nod to the new generation of partygoers who’ve helped turn the club scene around following the post-pandemic slump. The event runs from the golden sunset hours of 2 December (Saturday) to dawn’s first light on 3 December (Sunday), and continues on Sunday afternoon from 2pm until 1am the next day. It’s still gonna be held at Siloso Beach at Sentosa, and it’s collaborating yet again with AEG Presents – the producers of Coachella – to bring its vision to life.
There’s been no reveal on the lineup just yet, but like last year’s edition which racked up an attendance of 30,000 revellers, ZoukOut promises a lineup of international and homegrown selectors. Last year’s Zoukout saw EDM and trance heavyweights like Armin Van Buuren, Zedd, Tiësto, Gryffin, Andrew Rayel and Cash Cash; and even Shiba San as the festival’s biggest underground house draw. It also featured Zouk residents and other regional guests to colour the lineup.
“Being in entertainment nightlife for 32 years has not been an easy feat, and 20 years of bringing a community of people together through ZoukOut based on a shared love for music and dance is an even greater one,” shares Zouk Group CEO, Andrew Li, in a press release. “This has been the vision of Zouk Group since the very beginning and we are pleased to see it continue on just as strongly two decades later.”
